Lucy Gaffney

Lucy is an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of launching and leading successful ventures in the life sciences sector. Her areas of expertise span natural sciences, sustainability and business strategy and she is currently leading the development of Ireland’s national Business and Biodiversity Platform. She has a strong background in programme management, continuous improvement and entrepreneurialism. Lucy is passionate about bridging the gap between science and business, and empowering companies to take action for nature. She currently sits on the Advisory Board for the European Business and Biodiversity Platform, the Impact Board for the EU Horizon-funded GoNaturePositive Initiative and is participating in the working group for the Nature Finance Roadmap for Ireland. Lucy occasionally lectures in Trinity College Dublin and is now considered a leading voice in Ireland’s transition to a nature positive economy.
