“CIRCULÉIRE, Ireland’s First Circular Innovation Network, is led by Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) and funded by the Department of Environment, Climate, and Communications (DECC). Established in 2020, CIRCULÉIRE is a dynamic, cross-sectoral public-private network dedicated to advancing circularity in Ireland.
Our mission is to demystify, de-risk, and drive circular business model innovation by unlocking the potential of an Irish circular economy. We support Ireland’s vision to become a “testbed for circularity” by scaling up industry-focused circular innovation and helping to meet Ireland’s decarbonization and Just Transition objectives.
Now in its fifth year, CIRCULÉIRE has evolved into a multi-million euro, industry-led national innovation platform. Our network includes over 50 members, ranging from start-ups and micro-enterprises to SMEs and multinational corporations across various sectors such as Food & Drink, BioPharmaChem, Built Environment, Packaging, Plastics, Electronics & Batteries, Textiles, Second-Life Enablers, and Financial Services.
IMR, as the secretariat, supports industry on the journey from linear to circular business models through knowledge exchange, capacity building, baselining, action plan development, thematic working groups, sector-specific guides, and circular innovation pilot projects.”
