John’s research expertise focuses on environmental pollution assessment and mitigation, delivering low-carbon and resource-efficient design solutions for engineering and energy systems through the lens of life cycle and circular engineering. John is an experienced principal investigator, currently leading a range of European and nationally funded projects, and generating approximately 50 journal publications and government reports. He is Programme Director for Trinity’s new E3 Masters in Climate Adaptation Engineering, he runs a specialist micro-credential on Life Cycle Assessment for Engineering Practice and coordinates CPD courses for Engineers Ireland as well as currently acting as Chair of a Technical Group Expert in Circularity Measurement and Assessment (ISO 59020).
