Annabel is a sustainability professional with over 20 years’ experience across a variety of sectors. In her current role she leads a dedicated ESG team responsible for embedding sustainability across the organisation. Annabel oversees the company’s efforts to meet regulatory and sustainability standards, including compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive as well as voluntary certifications such as the Business Working Responsible Mark and CDP disclosures. Having studied Environmental Science in UL in the ’90s, she went on to complete a masters in Business Sustainability and following this attended University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Her academic background combined with her professional experience has enabled her to shape and implement innovative sustainability initiatives and programmes throughout her career. In addition to her role at Energia Group, Annabel chairs Business in The Community Ireland’s ‘Responsible Business Association’ where she advocates for sustainable business practices and fosters positive change through collaboration and leadership.
