Benn Hogan

Manager, Human Rights & Sustainability, Mazars

Benn works with clients on a range of human rights topics, including human rights due diligence, policy and strategy development, sustainability and modern slavery reporting, and training. 

He is also a visiting researcher and teaching fellow at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. He has published several iterations of the Irish Business and Human Rights benchmark with colleagues, the most recent iteration of which was released in January 2024. He has also published work on downstream human rights due diligence and on the business and human rights legal landscape. 

Prior to Mazars, Benn was the Director of the peer learning programme at the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI), where he led the strategic development, design and implementation of the organisation’s flagship programme, which supports business practitioners to advance respect for human rights within their companies. 

He has also consulted for a range of institutions, including the World Bank, the International Labour Organization, the Council on Ethics of the Swedish AP Funds and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

Benn is a graduate of the joint master’s in Development Practice programme at Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. He holds a bachelor’s in law and business from TCD, where he was elected a Foundation Scholar.
