Sylvia is Liberty’s Chief Risk Officer for the Western European Markets and is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the risk management framework to manage the company’s risk profile within risk appetite to support delivery of the business strategy and promoting a positive strong risk culture at all levels in the organisation.
She has held several key senior management positions covering compliance, internal audit, finance, underwriting, claims and operations.
Before joining Liberty, Sylvia worked as a Financial Controller/General Manager in the media sector and as a Finance Manager with an international reinsurance company. She is also a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Diploma in Insurance.
