Yvonne McCarthy

The Climate Change Unit was established by Yvonne in 2021. The Unit drives strategic efforts to incorporate climate risk and sustainable finance considerations to all parts of the Central Bank’s wide mandate through a ‘hub and spokes’ model. Yvonne works with a range of internal and external stakeholders on climate risk and sustainable finance issues. She  represents the Central Bank on various domestic and international committees related to climate change. She manages a diverse team and work programme which cuts across the Central Bank’s mandate of micro- and macro-prudential issues, policy, consumer protection, economic and financial stability analysis. Yvonne is widely published on a range of financial and economic issues.
