A seasoned sustainability professional with large project experience, Stephen currently leads DPD’s sustainability programme to achieve its ambitious goal of reducing CO2 emissions per parcel by a staggering 90% by 2030. Within a year of joining the company Stephen has overseen the rollout of 150 EV’s doubling DPD Ireland’s green parcel % from 11% to 23%.
Stephen steers DPD’s efforts to transition to electric vehicles and expand their green delivery routes. He oversees sustainability in all of DPD’s depots in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Before moving into corporate sustainability, Stephen began his career as a chef at the globally renowned Asador Extebarri before moving to Loam Galway, where he played an instrumental role in securing the Michelin Guide’s first-ever sustainability award. Stephen has also swam the English Channel in 2022, becoming the 30th Irish person to do so.
